The TomTom Go 1000 Live and TomTom Go 1005 Live are TomTom’s flagship models and offer all the usual TomTom services, plus have a super sensitive 'fluid' multi-touch touchscreen. 	Q: When was the release date of the TomTom 1000, TomTom 1005 and TomTom 1005 World?
	A: The TomTom 1000 was released in September 2010. The TomTom 1005 was released late October. The TomTom Go 1005 has recently (February 2012) be revamped into a 'Version 2' model, which includes Twitter and TripAdvisor integration. It's our understanding that this new software will be able to be installed onto older TomTom Go 1005 models, but the models with the new software pre-installed are starting to become available now,

	Q: What's different between the TomTom Go 825 and the TomTom Go 1005?
	A: The TomTom 825 does not have the 'fluid' touchscreen, but does have an SD card slot. The TomTom Go 825 is therefore more similar to the TomTom VIA 125 than the TomTom Go 1000.

	Q: What's new in the TomTom 1000 and TomTom 1005?
	A: The main new feature is a 'fluid' touchscreen, which uses capacitive technology (rather like an iphone touchscreen) which feels nicer to use, is more responsive and allows multitouch. The TomTom 1000 models have all the features of the previous high-end models, plus allow app downloads from the TomTom app store (soon to be available). The TomTom 1005 is the same as the TomTom 1000 EU model but with a larger 5" screen, (which is the same size screen as a TomTom XXL).

	Q: Which TomToms come with maps of the USA & Canada?
	A: The TomTom 950 Live model comes with maps of the USA & Canada. The latest models (TomTom Via & TomTom 1000) only have the choice of UK or European maps off the shelf. The TomTom Go 1005 World has worldwide maps, including America.

	Q: Who is the TomTom Go 1000 Live Suitable for?
	A: The TomTom Go 1000 and 1005 models would most suit the driver who wants the latest technology with all the latest GPS functionality available, such as bluetooth connection with their mobile phone, several routing options, and live services including live HD traffic information.

	Q: What is the TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition²?
	A: The TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition² has was released in April 2010. It's basically the old TomTom XL IQ Routes with the addition of text-to-speech. See our TomTom comparison table for more info on the features available.

	Q: What is the difference between the TomTom Start/ONE and the TomTom GO series?
	A: The TomTom Start and the TomTom ONE range are the entry-level GPS systems. Howver, all TomTom models have safety camera positions pre-installed, the latest maps, touchscreen and read out your directions. 	Q: What is the difference between the TomTom ONE IQ Routes and the TomTom ONE Start?
	A: The new TomTom Start models offer similar functionality to the IQ Routes models with a slightly different styling and interchangable coloured covers (sold seperately). See our TomTom comparison table for more info on the features available.

	Q: What is the difference between the TomTom ONE and the TomTom ONE IQ Routes?
	A: The TomTom ONE IQ Routes models were new back in April 2009. The IQ Routes models have a new-look glossy black surround, and contain the IQ Routes and Advanced Lane Guidance functions that have previously only been found on the more expensive TomTom GO range.

	Q: Where are the TomTom Traffic models?
	A: The 'TomTom ONE + Traffic' range were simply the same TomTom ONE model packaged with the RDS TMC Traffic Receiver, and these packs have now been discontinued by TomTom. If you want to get the equivalent of an old "T" model then you can buy the standard model plus the Traffic Receiver seperately (see the TomTom site)

	Q: Which version is the latest, and what's new, and what's the TomTom "Classic"?
	A: The TomTom 'Classic' models are now being phased out. The latest TomTom range consists of the TomTom Start2, TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition2, TomTom Go 1000 Live and the TomTom GO 550, 750 & 950.

	Q: What's the difference between the TomTom GB, UK & ROI, EU, WE, "Regional" and "TomTom 22" models?
	A: Mostly just terminology! The basic TomTom ONE is often referred to as the "TomTom GB", "TomTom UK & ROI" (Republic of Ireland), or the "TomTom Regional". These are all the same and basically mean that it comes with maps of Great Britain. The EU (Europe) or WE (Western Europe) mean that the TomTom comes with maps of Great Britain plus European countries (E.g. France, Spain, Germany, Italy etc). A TomTom with European maps is sometimes referred to as "TomTom 31" or "TomTom 42" which indicates whether it comes with maps of 31 or 42 European countries.See our TomTom comparison table for more info on maps which come with each model.

	Q: What's the difference between the TomTom Go 530, 730 and 930, the 540, 740 & 940, and the 550, 750 & 950?
	A: The x30 and x40 ranges have now been discontinued. The TomTom x40 range and the 550, 750 & 950 have been slightly restyled, and feature TomTom Live services and a slightly tweaked user interface. More information can be found on the handy Amazon TomTom Live page here.

	Q: What is the difference between the TomTom ONE IQ Routes and the TomTom ONE White Pearl?
	A: Nothing, other than the colour!

	A: TomTom RDS TMC Traffic gives free traffic updates for life via an external antenna that you need to have inside your car. TomTom HD Traffic requires a subscription and is more accurate, with no antenna required.
