TomTom GO 1005 Live World Edition



A new version of the TomTom GO 1005 EU is due to be released, called the TomTom GO 1005 World.

As well as the usual high-spec features such as HD traffic and mobile speed camera loactions, the device also has integrated Twitter functionality to keep your contacts up to date on your journey progress, and has Google Search & Go functionality to allow you to find the best hotel prices and local restaurant reviews etc.

As the name suggests, the device comes with Worldwide maps pre-installed. The countries covered include UK & ROI, 45 European countries, Australia & New Zealand, USA & Canada, Southern Africa and Southeast Asia.

If you installed all these maps on a standard UK-only TomTom, you’d be looking at paying over £350 just for the maps, so if you’re likely to travel abroad at any point then this makes this model great value!
